Job summary

North London NHS Foundation Trust (NLNFT) is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist for the North London Forensic Service. The role involves assessment, intervention and evaluation for a caseload with complex mental health needs.

You will deliver person-centred, recovery-focused interventions, lead groups and individual sessions, work closely with the MDT, and support junior staff through supervision and education. A dynamic, supportive team is provided in a secure forensic setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant OT degree and registration with HCPC.
• Experience in forensic mental health is advantageous.
• Evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and deliver OT interventions for complex mental health needs.
• Lead therapeutic groups and 1:1 sessions.
• Contribute to service development and MDT care planning.
• Supervise junior staff and act as a practice educator.
