Job summary

Priory Hospital Ayr Clinic in Ayr is seeking a Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse to join our low secure ward. The role is full-time across day and night shifts on a two-week rotation; access to a vehicle is recommended.

Salary ranges £36,176 - £41,953 per year, plus a £5,000 welcome bonus and relocation support up to £3,000. The hospital offers on-site parking and development opportunities. This role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months post-registration experience in a mental health care environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
• Active NMC registration as Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide prescribed nursing care safely and effectively.
• Maintain a safe and supportive care environment.
• Work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team.
• Rotational shifts on a low secure forensic ward (day and night).
