Job summary

ICE Recruit seeks a mechanically qualified professional to lead investigations into failures across a range of mechanical systems and equipment. You will work alongside senior engineers, learn how to present findings, and build expertise in forensic investigation methods for clients such as law firms and insurers.

The role requires a 2:1 or higher in mechanical engineering and a minimum of five years’ industry experience; chartered status is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification with a 2:1 or above in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of five years’ industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate failures affecting mechanical systems, machinery and equipment.
• Prepare clear reports that can be understood by non-technical audiences and withstand scrutiny from legal, insurance and technical professionals.
• Possible occasional expert witness during litigation when fully experienced and ready.
