Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust is recruiting an Assistant Psychologist to work in the inpatient Adult Forensic Mental Health Service at the Riverside Centre. You will work with people with complex needs, supporting assessment, therapeutic interventions and research activity within a large clinical team.

Hopeful candidates will have prior experience in forensic or secure settings, supervision and support to maintain wellbeing, and will contribute to service evaluations

Qualifications

• First or upper second-class honours Psychology Degree accredited by the BPS or a lower second with MSc.
• Postgraduate training in psychology, mental health practice, and/or research design and analysis.
• Experience in forensic settings or with forensic service users.

Responsibilities

• Undertake psychological assessment, formulation and treatment for inpatients.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to inpatients, individually or in groups.
• Contribute to risk assessment, MDT meetings and service evaluations.
