Job summary

Mountain Healthcare seeks Registered Nurses or Paramedics to deliver high-quality forensic custody healthcare in police custody settings. You will assess detainees, treat acute conditions, and support safeguarding and mental health needs with autonomous clinical decision-making.

The role offers specialised training in forensic procedures, collaboration with police and NHS partners, and development within a leading forensic healthcare provider. No prior custody experience required.

Qualifications

• Registration with NMC if Nurse, or HCPC if Paramedic.
• Full UK driving licence with minimal penalty points.
• Ability to obtain enhanced DBS clearance and police vetting.
• Right to work in the UK and 3+ years UK residency prior to application.
• Post-qualification experience in acute/urgent settings preferred.
• Willingness to undertake externally accredited forensic training within first year.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical and capacity assessments within custody settings.
• Manage acute healthcare needs and emergencies in a forensic environment.
• Support mental health, substance misuse and safeguarding needs.
• Collect and document forensic evidence and maintain records.
• Collaborate with police, NHS and partner agencies.
