A leading provider in police services is seeking Nurses or Paramedics to work in custody suites across the UK. This role involves providing healthcare to detainees, assessing their needs, and administering care. Candidates must have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience and the ability to work flexibly. Training will be provided, and opportunities for growth and full-time roles are available.
Are you a Nurse or Paramedic looking for a new direction but not ready to leave your current role? Consider our bank opportunities.
You will work alongside the Police in custody suites, caring for detainees, and have a career within the criminal justice system helping some of the most vulnerable people in society.
We require Registered (Adult) Nurses / RGNs or Paramedics with 2 years' post-qualification experience, who want to deliver gold-standard care and be part of a team with a shared vision and passion for developing clinical, forensic, and wider skills.
You must have the flexibility to work not only in your base custody suite but also across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.
The custody suites can be an energetic place to work, with no two shifts the same. While detained, we provide individuals with all their physical, mental healthcare, and wellbeing needs, as well as gather forensic samples needed by the police to aid investigations. You will assess whether people are fit to be detained or released, administer medications when needed, and work with local Liaison and Diversion teams to address root causes of issues that can prevent future crime. No previous forensic experience is required as we will provide training.
