Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Assistant Psychologist for the Specialist Community Forensic Team in Bridgwater. You will support psychologists, conduct assessments and contribute to planning of interventions within a multidisciplinary service focused on forensic mental health.

Responsibilities

• Support qualified Psychologists in delivering assessments, formulations and interventions.
• Assist in administering and scoring psychological measures, risk assessments and structured interviews.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with service users while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Contribute to brief, planned psychological interventions under supervision.
• Gather, analyse and present data to support audits and service evaluations.
• Conduct literature searches to support evidence-based practice.
• Assist in developing and delivering psychology training for colleagues within the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and clinical documentation in line with Trust policies.
• Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and work with partner agencies.
• Use supervision to support professional development and maintain high standards of practice.
