Job description

Forensic Accounting Partner

Department: Accounting

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: London

Description
The Opportunity: Grow Traditional Forensic Services in a Leading Specialist Team

We are seeking a Forensic Accounting Partner to join our large and highly experienced forensic team, which is one of the world’s leading royalty audit and contract compliance practices. Our work spans sectors including media, entertainment, publishing, sport, fashion, and pharma, acting for major global brands and talent.

Our royalty audit and contract compliance assignments demand deep forensic skills in interpreting complex agreements, analysing financial and usage data, and identifying underreported revenue — and we've built a market-leading reputation in this niche.

Alongside this, we also deliver traditional forensic accounting services — including expert witness, fraud, valuation work, commercial disputes, and litigation support. We are now looking for a Partner to take ownership of this traditional forensic stream and lead its growth, building on the strength and scale of the wider forensic practice.

This is a high-profile leadership role, ideally suited to someone with an excellent reputation in the forensic accounting market, who can bring a strong network of legal contacts and introducers, and has a track record of generating new work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and expand our traditional forensic accounting services — expert witness, dispute resolution, fraud, and commercial litigation support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across our existing forensic work — especially complex royalty and contract-related assignments.
  • Act as an expert witness, preparing robust, high-quality reports and giving confident oral evidence in legal proceedings.
  • Manage a wide range of cases including shareholder disputes, professional negligence, economic crime, and regulatory investigations.
  • Leverage your personal network of lawyers, referrers, and industry contacts to generate new work and enhance our market position.
  • Work across both claimant and defendant instructions, anticipating opposing expert arguments and shaping fact-based analysis.
  • Support strategic decision-making and business planning for the forensic department and wider firm.
  • Maintain and enhance HW Fisher’s standing as a leader in forensic accounting.

What We’re Looking For
Skills and Experience:
  • Expertise in Forensic Accounting: Significant experience in litigation support, expert witness work, fraud investigations, and financial disputes.
  • Leadership & Business Growth: Proven ability to lead teams and grow a forensic accounting practice.
  • Strong Analytical & Investigative Skills: Ability to interpret complex financial data and uncover key findings with clarity and precision.
  • Expert Witness Experience: Comfortable presenting evidence in court and preparing robust expert reports.
  • Commercial Acumen: Able to identify and convert new business opportunities through an established network.
  • Exceptional Communication: Skilled at explaining complex financial issues to non-specialist audiences, including legal professionals and courts.
You may be the sort of person who is:
  • Well-Connected: You bring a trusted network of legal and professional contacts who value your reputation and expertise.
  • Strategic: You see the bigger picture and align forensic services with long-term business goals.
  • Commercially Astute: You know how to win work, deepen client relationships, and deliver high-value advisory work.
  • Innovative: You explore new forensic methodologies and adapt to evolving legal and commercial landscapes.
  • Detail-Oriented: Your forensic investigations are meticulous and your findings are reliable under scrutiny.
  • Collaborative: You thrive in a multi-disciplinary team and enjoy working alongside legal professionals, auditors, and law enforcement.
