Overview

Steel erection supervisor / Foreman. Global Recruitment have an opportunity for an experienced Steel erection supervisor to join our client's highly skilled team on a permanent basis. The initial project is based in South east London (Near Peckham). Rate of pay - Up to £26 per hour. The position requires someone with their own tools & site install experience. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise steel erection works on site, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.
• Coordinate installation activities with site teams and customers.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to plan and execute works.
• Monitor workmanship to meet architectural steelwork standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in fitting, fabrication, and welding to a high standard, with emphasis on architectural steelwork.
• Ability to read from engineering drawings and work independently in workshop environments and on customer premises.
• Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and flexibility in working hours and approach to engineering tasks.
• Supervisory/leadership skills are advantageous but not essential if the skills are demonstrated at a high standard.
• Experience fabricating both architectural and structural steel.
• Valid CSCS Card; SSSTS or SMSTS (Must have); IPAF (Preferred).
