At our plant in Glenrothes, Scotland, we design, develop and produce radial piston motors working in partnership with world renowned international OEMs in industries such as material handling, construction, and forestry machinery. Job Description

What will you be doing?

  • Ensure compliance with relevant UK & Ireland legislation as well as Bosch Central Directive "Customs"
  • Be the first point of contact for all foreign trade related topics and provide customs and compliance awareness trainings for LE associates.
  • Provide regular updates and information exchange with other UK LE contacts within the OSD4 network
  • Develop and maintain cost-efficient foreign trade processes and where possible/relevant, apply for beneficial customs procedures and authorisations.
  • Monitor and support the internal/external operations to ensure importations are carried out in line with operational and legal requirements.
  • Management of external customs brokers, monitoring of their KPIs, and drive their operational improvements
  • Monitor export activities to ensure the export procedure is closed properly and proof of export is available.
  • Advise on Preferential Origin and ensure the calculation, maintenance, and documentation of all preferential statements.
  • Carry out broker audits and evaluation of our contracted external service providers on an annual basis.
  • Be the on-site contact for AEO coordination along with supporting the rest of the DCGB business.
  • Coordinate customs audits (internal/external) and ensure all documentation is available for the audit team(s)
  • Archive customs clearance relevant data and documents (including original preferential documents).
  • Provide technical support on existing and future trade agreements relevant to the UK and Ireland
  • Work alongside relevant internal departments to ensure the supplier base provides goods and services to Bosch in a cost-efficient and compliant way.
Qualifications

  • Practical experience working in foreign trade operations or logistics in a post-Brexit environment.
  • An understanding regarding classification, valuation, and preferential origin
  • Self-motivated and committed to team engagement and teamwork.
  • Ability to show tenacity to ensure topics are completed in line with expectations.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft packages and SAP (or relevant ERP system)
  • High focus on process analysis, data analysis, and time-critical decision making.
  • Strong focus on preventative problem solving and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with and effectively communicate to all levels of the business.
