A premier football club is seeking a Football & Sports Development Coach to deliver high-quality coaching programs. You will work within the UK & International Football Programmes to engage and develop players. The ideal candidate has experience in leading football centres and holds an FA Level one coaching qualification. What is the role?

We are looking for someone who can deliver high quality football coaching programmes within the UK & International Football Programmes department; aiming to engage, develop and create an enjoyable learning environment among players in schools, centres, teams and courses, and ensuring that all delivery is ‘best in class’.

What will you be doing?

You will plan, organise and deliver high quality football coaching programmes within the department’s delivery lines of School Football, Soccer Schools, Football Development, ensuring curriculums are consistently followed and delivered to.

We are looking for someone who has the drive to increase and retain high levels of players, whilst ensuring the customer experience is ‘Best in Class’ for all parties; including partners, parents/guardians and players.

Working collaboratively with the Football Development Officer to identify development opportunities and service gaps within existing department.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Experience in leading & delivering to large football centres, camps and managing other coaches on site.
• Knowledge of Club Community Organisations and Football & Sports Development Programmes.
• A strong knowledge of Southampton FC’s FDSC programme and how we can use the ‘Southampton Way’ values to promote our paid provisions.
• Have excellent knowledge of both school sports and youth football.
• Hold a minimum FA Level one in Football Coaching qualification.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience leading curriculum physical education delivery
• Experience in managing football teams, at both children and youth level.
• Hold a minimum FA Level Two in Football Coaching qualification.
• UKCC Level 1/2 Coaching qualification or equivalent in a variety of sports.
• Hold degree in relevant subject or min of 3 years industry experience.
• afPE 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Physical Education and School Sport.
