Job summary

Middlesbrough Football Club is recruiting a Data Analyst to join the newly established Data & Analytics department. You will transform football and organisational data into clear, actionable insights to support decisions across Performance, Recruitment, Sports Science and Medical teams.

Working with the Head of Data and Data Engineer, you will develop dashboards and reporting solutions, analyse multiple datasets and translate findings into information that informs strategic actions across the

Qualifications

• Experience in football or related sporting environment.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards or visualisations using Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Excel and data-analysis principles.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• A passion for football and using data to improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and visualisations.
• Analyse football, performance, sports science and operational data to identify trends.
• Support integration and validation of data from multiple systems.
• Work with stakeholders across the club to understand analytical requirements.
• Develop data products that support football and organisational decision-making.
• Produce clear and engaging reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support data quality, consistency and accuracy across reporting outputs.
• Deliver ad-hoc analytical projects across departments.
• Support the development of self-service analytics and reporting across the club.
• Document reporting processes, business definitions and analytical methodologies.
• Stay informed about developments in sports analytics and data visualisation.
