Job summary

Middlesbrough Football Club is establishing a Data & Analytics function and seeks a Data Analyst to turn data into actionable insights across football performance, recruitment, sports science and operations.

You will partner with the Head of Data and Data Engineer to build reports, visualisations and data products that support decision-making, while maintaining high data quality and clear methodologies.

Qualifications

• Experience in football/sports analytics or related field.
• Ability to create reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Attention to data quality and clear methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and visualisations using Power BI.
• Analyse football, performance, sports science and operational data to identify trends and insights.
• Support integration and validation of data from multiple systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data products.
• Produce clear visualisations and reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assist in ensuring data quality and accuracy across outputs.
• Support ad-hoc analytics across football operations, recruitment and medical teams.
• Contribute to self-service reporting and analytics capabilities.
• Document reporting processes and methodologies.
• Stay updated on sports analytics and data visualisation best practices.
