Role:Foot and Ankle Clinical Fellow

Town / Site: London, London Ankle and Arthritis Centre, on site at The Wellington Hospital, St Johns Wood – London. Part of HCA Healthcare UK.
Employment Contract:12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Work Pattern: Monday to Friday

Full time / Part time:Full Time or Part Time hours are available

As anFoot and Ankle Clinical Fellow, you will be an integral part of the MSK team, supporting Surgical Professors, and the support surgical team at the London Ankle & Arthritis Centre (LAAC).This fellowship, you will be part of the elective team, ward care team, and research team. The one year fellowship is designed to shape you into a leader in the field of ankle arthritis surgery, equipping you with skills as a teacher and researcher, with an emphasis on evidence-based practices and significant research output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting LAAC consultants in the operating theatre during elective procedures.
  • Assisting the Surgical Resident Doctor with routine tasks such as clerking, prescribing TTOs, and accompanying consultants surgeons on ward rounds.
  • Assist with data capture and analysis for ankle arthritis research and audit studies.
  • Support micro-projects such as “Prodense in Preoperative Bone Cyst Management” and “Evaluation of Prophecy Adoption Curves.”
  • Contribute to publication activities, including research topics likeTotal Ankle Replacement versus Ankle Arthrodesis.
