Due to consistent growth and expansion, a unique opportunity has emerged for an ambitious procurement professional to join a £multi-billion Food & Beverages / FMCG firm experiencing hyper growth as they expand into new markets and ventures. They seek a Procurement Category Manager responsible for developing and executing category strategies, focusing on retail food-related spend such as confectionery, snacks, nuts, chocolate, and healthy products, aiming to deliver value, cost savings, sustainability, mitigate supply chain risks, and foster category growth and innovation.

Ideal candidates will have strong buying, procurement, or account management experience negotiating with major suppliers in food & beverages. The company offers up to £65,000 + 20% bonus, with a flexible hybrid work structure based in Central London or Surrey.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Create category strategies and growth plans by identifying market opportunities to enhance the company's range and margins.
2. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to achieve cost savings and drive category innovation and growth.
3. Manage performance, accounts, and contracts with suppliers to maximize savings and client retention.

Required Experience:

1. Strong commercial acumen and end-to-end procurement experience in Food & Beverages categories within retail, foodservice, hospitality, FMCG, wholesale, or contract catering industries.
2. Proven experience in procurement, category management, or account management.
3. Excellent negotiation skills, effective communication, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and suppliers.
