  • Plan and deliver lessons that foster practical cooking skills, nutritional knowledge, and an understanding of food provenance, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including practical cooking sessions, demonstrations, and food science experiments.
  • Assess student progress through practical cooking tasks, written assignments, and presentations, providing detailed feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum, integrating current dietary guidelines and sustainable food practices, and participate in departmental planning.
  • Organise and lead food-related activities, such as cooking clubs, food festivals, and visits to local food producers, promoting student engagement and a love of food.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Food Technology subject knowledge, including cooking skills, nutrition, and food science.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Food Technology to A-Level, with a focus on both practical skills and theoretical understanding.
