Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Description: Hays Education is recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded alternative provision school in Macclesfield. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team. This school caters to students aged 13-16 who are at risk of permanent exclusion or struggling to engage in mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons tailored to the needs of individual students.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and external partners to support student development.

About the School:

  • Provides a balanced curriculum, including up to 12 GCSEs or industry-equivalent qualifications.
  • Offers vocational training in areas such as bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing, construction, fashion design, textile design, and hair & beauty.
  • Focuses on fostering positive relationships between students, staff, and the wider community.
  • Committed to helping students discover their potential, explore their interests, and achieve their goals.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
