Qualifications

• Food Technology specialist with secondary teaching experience.
• Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology / Food Preparation and Nutrition.
• Experience delivering practical food lessons.
• Good knowledge of health, safety and hygiene in the classroom.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A genuine passion for your subject and supporting young people.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• References covering safeguarding period.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Food Technology / Food Preparation and Nutrition across the secondary age range.
• Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory lessons.
• Ensuring high standards of health, safety and hygiene within practical lessons.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively.
• Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Working collaboratively with the department and wider school team.
• Creating an inclusive learning environment where pupils can develop practical skills, independence and confidence.
