Your Role as Food Technology Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4, and potentially KS5 for the right candidate.
  • Inspire students to understand and appreciate the importance of food, nutrition, and sustainability in the modern world.
  • Support students in developing practical culinary skills, as well as an understanding of food science, nutrition, and cultural influences.
  • Work closely with the team to develop and expand the Food Technology curriculum, incorporating modern trends and practices in food education.
  • Encourage students to take part in extracurricular activities, including food-related competitions, projects, and community outreach programs.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified Food Technology Teacher with a passion for food education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in food science, nutrition, and the culinary arts.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching, with the ability to inspire students to engage with the subject.
