We are seeking an exceptional Food Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team. As a Food Technology Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging lessons and hands-on cooking experiences.

What you'll do as a Food Technology Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Food Technology lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities, fostering a love of cooking and food in our students.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to experiment, create, and develop their culinary skills.
  • Teach a variety of cooking techniques and food preparation methods, ensuring students gain a solid foundation in Food Technology.
  • Incorporate theoretical knowledge of nutrition, food science, and food safety into your lessons, providing students with a well-rounded understanding of Food Technology.
  • Assess students' practical skills and theoretical understanding through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods.
  • Contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum and departmental resources, ensuring our teaching remains current and engaging.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Food Technology teaching.

What you'll need to be a successful Food Technology Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level.
  • A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Food Technology.
