Food Technology Teacher – Outstanding School – Surrey

An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Surrey requires a passionate and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join their dedicated Design & Technology team. This is a full-time, permanent position, teaching primarily Key Stages 3 and 4. The school is committed to providing students with essential practical life skills and a strong understanding of nutrition.

Responsibilities:

The appointed Food Technology Teacher will plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that inspire a love of cooking and meet curriculum requirements. You will teach essential cooking skills, food science principles, and healthy eating habits, ensuring a safe and well-managed kitchen environment. Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and contributing to the Food Technology curriculum are key duties for this Food Technology Teacher role. We are looking for an excellent Food Technology Teacher.

Requirements:

Candidates must be a qualified Food Technology Teacher (QTS) with a degree in Food Technology, Hospitality, or a related field. Proven experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level is essential. Strong practical cookery skills, a passion for food and nutrition, and excellent classroom management skills are required.
