Supply Design and Technology Teacher - Food Technology
Location: Various Bristol Secondary Schools
Contract Type: Temporary / Supply
Duration: Full-time and Part-time Roles Available


Tradewind are currently recruiting enthusiastic Supply DT Teachers with a specialism in Food Technology to work in secondary schools in Bristol, delivering engaging and practical lessons that make a real impact.

Salary:
160 - 300 per day PAYE (depending on experience and pay scale)

About the Role:
As a Supply DT Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach across different schools, bringing fresh energy and innovative ideas to a variety of classrooms. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, adapting to different learning environments, and supporting students to develop valuable practical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver inspiring Design and Technology (Food Tech-focused) lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit different classroom environments and learner needs
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a calm and productive atmosphere
  • Plan and prepare lesson resources when required
  • Support students in developing practical skills, creativity, and confidence
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology - Food Technology focus preferred
  • A flexible and proactive attitude to working in a variety of school environments
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A passion for hands-on, student-centered learning
