TeacherActive are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher/Instructor to join a specialized SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) setting in Essex starting September 2025.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs
  • Support and motivate students to develop practical cooking skills and a love for healthy eating
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional development
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of educators and support staff to meet individual student needs

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Food Technology or related subject
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs is desirable but not essential training will be provided
  • Passionate about making a difference in students lives through education
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of learning needs and environments
