Are you passionate about food, nutrition, and the science behind it? Do you believe in practical learning to build confidence and life skills? Our school is looking for a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our vibrant Design & Technology department.

In this role, you'll teach students about nutrition, develop practical cookery skills, and explore the science and sustainability of food within a supportive and well-equipped environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Teach engaging, hands-on Food Technology lessons at KS3, KS4, or KS5.
2. Plan and deliver schemes of work aligned with national curriculum and exam board specifications.
3. Encourage creativity, independence, and healthy choices through food education.
4. Ensure high standards of health and safety in practical sessions.
5. Contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs or competitions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
• A degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for both practical and theoretical food education.
• Excellent organisational and classroom management skills.
• Experience teaching KS4 (e.g., GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition) is desirable.
• Both ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
