Job summary

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher for a full-time role in Oldham. You will teach Food Technology to KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and practical lessons and assessing student work.

The role starts ASAP and runs until Christmas with a view to extend from January for the right candidate. The successful applicant will hold QTS or have strong experience in Food Tech, manage classes confidently, plan and mark work, and contribute to the school community with

Qualifications

• Holds QTS, or has strong experience teaching Food Technology.
• Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and/or KS4.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and committed to teaching.
• Can confidently plan, teach and mark.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Keen to become part of the wider school community.
• Has 2 professional references available.
• Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).

Food Technology Teacher

Location: Oldham

Salary: £160-£200 per day

Contract: Full-time, Monday-Friday

Hours: 8:15am-3:00pm

Start: ASAP

Duration: Until Christmas, with a view to extend from January for the right candidate

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Food Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Oldham on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Food Technology specialist looking for a new role, with the potential for the position to continue beyond Christmas for the right teacher.

The Role

• Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
• Planning and delivering engaging, practical and challenging lessons
• Marking and assessing students' work
• Supporting students to achieve their full potential
• Contributing positively to the wider life of the school
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider school

We are looking for someone who:
