Job description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a dynamic Design and Technology department. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students with a love for food, nutrition, and practical cooking skills. The role begins in September 2025.

Duties as a Food Technology Teacher:
  1. Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons to [KS3/KS4/KS5] students.
  2. Develop students’ practical cooking skills and understanding of food science, nutrition, and safety.
  3. Maintain a safe and well-equipped kitchen classroom.
  4. Support students in achieving their best in both theory and practical assessments.
  5. Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities.
  6. Hold a qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  7. Have a specialism or experience in Food Technology, Food Science, or Nutrition.
  8. Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.
  9. Show passion for inspiring young people to develop lifelong culinary skills.
  10. Work collaboratively within a team.
