Food Technology Teacher (ECT)

We are seeking a creative and committed Early Career Teacher of Food Technology to join our thriving Design & Technology department. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to begin their career in a supportive and well-resourced school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Develop students' practical and theoretical understanding of food, nutrition, and health

  • Use assessment to monitor progress and inform future planning

  • Contribute to curriculum development, departmental initiatives, and extra-curricular opportunities

  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including CPD, meetings, and events

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it

  • A strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching Food and Nutrition

  • Excellent practical and classroom management skills

  • A reflective practitioner eager to develop professionally

  • Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities
