Love food? Love teaching? Let’s cook up something great.

We’re looking for a passionate and creative Food Technology Teacher to join a well-respected secondary school in Hartlepool. What’s in the mix:
  • Teaching KS3 and KS4 Food Technology with scope to get creative

  • Access to a well-equipped food tech kitchen

  • Supportive department with shared planning and resources

  • A welcoming, community-focused school with excellent student engagement

What we’re looking for:
  • UK QTS and secondary teaching experience (PGCEs welcome)

  • A love for practical teaching and a knack for engaging students

  • Experience with GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition (AQA or similar)

  • Strong classroom management and a sense of humour never hurts

Why this school?

Based in the heart of Darlington, this school is known for its inclusive ethos, hands-on learning environment, and a leadership team that genuinely supports its staff. It’s the kind of place where colleagues share recipes, not just lesson plans.

Why join Protocol Education?
  • Flexible roles and long-term placements that suit your style

  • Weekly pay through PAYE -no umbrella company deductions

  • Free access to our CPD Academy, including Thrive training

  • ️ Dedicated consultant support from someone who gets schools
