Are you an inspiring and passionate Food Technology teacher with a specialism in Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic educator to join a vibrant school in Barnet, North London. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students at KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, with a focus on SEN provision.

Food Technology Teacher Role:

1. Teach Food Technology across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, adapting lessons to meet the needs of students with varying learning abilities and challenges.
2. Provide support for students with SEN in a nurturing, inclusive environment, ensuring they have the resources and encouragement to succeed.
3. Take on Form Tutor duties, providing pastoral care, monitoring student well-being, and supporting academic progress.
4. Create an engaging, hands-on learning environment that encourages creativity, independence, and a love of food and nutrition.

Food Technology Teacher Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deliver a diverse Food Technology curriculum for students of all abilities.
2. Support SEN students in achieving their full potential through tailored lesson plans, interventions, and differentiated activities.
3. Maintain positive and supportive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
4. Foster an environment of respect, inclusivity, and high expectations for all learners.
5. Participate in departmental and school-wide meetings, professional development, and contribute to school life.

Ideal Food Technology Teacher Candidate:

1. Qualified teacher with a strong background in Food Technology, preferably with experience working with SEN students.
2. Enthusiastic, patient, and creative, with a passion for teaching and making learning accessible to all.
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
4. Experience with Form Tutor responsibilities would be an advantage, though not essential.
