Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Food Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking Design & Technology department from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach an engaging and vital subject, inspiring students to develop essential life skills and a passion for food and nutrition. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Food Technology Teacher:

• Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Plan and implement a curriculum that promotes healthy eating, practical cookery skills, and food science

• Create a positive and safe learning environment, including effective use of specialist equipment and kitchen facilities

• Assess, track, and support student progress, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported

• Contribute to the wider school community and take part in extra-curricular or enrichment activities where appropriate

Ideal Food Technology Teacher:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Have a strong subject knowledge and a passion for food education

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Food Technology Teacher.

• Be committed to student achievement and continuous professional development

• Have experience or interest in running practical lessons with a focus on safety, hygiene, and nutrition
