Are you an inspiring and passionate Food Technology teacher with a specialism in Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic educator to join a vibrant school in Barnet, North London. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students at KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, with a focus on SEN provision.

Food Technology Teacher Role:

  • Teach Food Technology across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, adapting lessons to meet the needs of students with varying learning abilities and challenges.
  • Provide support for students with SEN in a nurturing, inclusive environment, ensuring they have the resources and encouragement to succeed.
  • Take on Form Tutor duties, providing pastoral care, monitoring student well-being, and supporting academic progress.
  • Create an engaging, hands-on learning environment that encourages creativity, independence, and a love of food and nutrition.

Food Technology Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a diverse Food Technology curriculum for students of all abilities.
  • Support SEN students in achieving their full potential through tailored lesson plans, interventions, and differentiated activities.
  • Maintain positive and supportive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Foster an environment of respect, inclusivity, and high expectations for all learners.
  • Participate in departmental and school-wide meetings, professional development, and contribute to school life.

Ideal Food Technology Teacher Candidate:

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in Food Technology, preferably with experience working with SEN students.
