Job Description
Are you looking for the job that will allow you to progress to Technical Manager?
This could be for you – this business are looking for a food technologist to work on one of their top major retail accounts alongside the Technical Manager for this account. They are a growing business and as they deal with a number of retailers there is scope for progression to be take on more responsibility. This role has become vacant due to a person we placed just over a year ago being promoted into a bigger role.
The business have a hands-on and pragmatic culture, which in turn has created a friendly, but hardworking atmosphere. We believe this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with an eye for detail, passion and a drive for results.
Role responsibilities:
•Manage customer specific projects.
•Manage customer technical requirements by liaising with suppliers.
•Drive the quality evaluation panels across all products within the business and providing an agreed action plan with the relevant supplier.
•Writing and support with specification systems maintenance and other systems to ensure customer specification compliance.
•Investigating and reporting out of specification micro and chemical results
•Investigating and reporting of product non-conformances.
•Providing process capability data for attributes on new products during the development process and verifying this data after 1st production.
•Working closely with the commercial and NPD teams
•Customer specific KPI reporting and assessment
•Supplier & customer visits
The Candidate
•Degree educated within a food related discipline
•Minimum work experience of 2-3 years within a BRC or similar environment
•Extremely high attention to detail.
•Ability to respond to customers with a “right first time” attitude.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Willingness to travel.
•Full and clean driver’s license.
•Passion for food and products
Package of £30-35k + performance bonus.
Hybrid role with 2 -3 days per week in the Milton Keynes / Luton area.
