Full-Time Food Teaching Assistant

Location: A school in Weston-Super-Mare
Pay: £89.90 – £95 per day
Days: Full-time (first of all until 19th of December but with a likely extension), 8am-3pm
Start date: ASAP (allow around 15-20 days for clearance before you can start)

Love being in the kitchen and want to inspire the next generation of foodies? We’re looking for a full-time Food Teaching Assistant to support Food classes at a welcoming school in Weston-Super-Mare. This is a brilliant opportunity if you enjoy cooking, working with young people, and creating a safe, hands-on learning environment where students can grow their confidence and skills.

The Role

As a Food Teaching Assistant, you’ll:

  • Support the Food teacher in lessons
  • Place food orders for upcoming lessons
  • Defrost, portion and prepare for the cooking lesson
  • Ensure food hygiene and safety standards are followed
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support when needed
  • Organise the kitchen, labelling, date checking and ensuring hygiene
