Job description

Food Technology Teacher – SEN School – Permanent Role

Location: Northampton (NN12)
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience) + Additional SEN allowance
Contract: Permanent, Full-time

We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school that provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students with a range of needs, including Autism, SEMH, and learning difficulties. The school is dedicated to equipping students with practical life skills and academic success, ensuring they are prepared for their futures.

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons in Food Technology.
  2. Support students in developing practical cooking skills and understanding nutrition.
  3. Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  4. Work collaboratively with support staff to create a structured and supportive classroom.
  5. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS not required).
  • Experience working with students with SEN is beneficial.
  • Passion for food education and life skills development.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs.
