Role Overview:
As a Food Technology Teaching Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the Food Technology Department and enhancing the learning experience of our students. Your responsibilities will include assisting in lesson delivery, preparing educational materials, providing personalised student support, and contributing to the overall academic environment. This position is ideal for someone passionate about food technology and education, looking to make a tangible impact on students' academic journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Food Technology Department in delivering engaging and practical lessons.
• Support students in their learning, both in and out of the classroom.
• Help prepare teaching materials and resources.
• Maintain and organize the food technology lab, ensuring all equipment and ingredients are ready for use.
• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions.
• Assist with grading assignments and practical assessments.
• Participate in department meetings and school events.

Qualifications:

• A passion for food technology and education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
• Organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in a similar role or a degree in food technology/education is a plus

Requirements:

• The right to work in the UK.
• Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
• Demonstrated commitment to education and personal growth.
