Job description

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Tech & DT Teacher to join a secondary school in Blackpool. This is a temporary position, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year.

About the Role

We are looking for a Food Tech & DT Teacher to work within the Design and Technology department of a secondary school in Blackpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Food Technology and Design Technology, including planning and delivering engaging lessons and supporting students' development.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons in Food Technology and Design Technology.

  • Supporting students' learning and development in Food Technology and Design Technology.

  • Observing and assessing students' progress.

  • Maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment.

  • Working effectively as part of a team.

To be considered for this Food Tech & DT Teacher role you will need to:

  • Hold QTS Status or an equivalent Design and Technology qualification.

  • Have experience teaching Food Technology and Design Technology at the secondary level.

  • Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Design and Technology.

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.

  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
