About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Food Service Assistant to work closely with the Chef Manager to manage the student café service to a high standard, assist in preparing food and snacks, deliver excellent customer service, and keep the kitchen and restaurant areas clean and tidy at all times.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure prompt and efficient service to customers, exceeding expectations.
  • Assist the Chef Manager in food preparation.
  • Use of an EPOS till.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all café and kitchen areas, including washing up and cleaning equipment.
  • Perform other duties as required.

About You

  • Patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Flexibility and openness to change.
  • Ability to accept criticism and work under pressure.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a food hygiene certificate.
