The Coventry Dementia Partnership Hub is seeking a Food Service Assistant to provide a welcoming environment and support the café. This role involves maintaining high food hygiene standards and contributing to the care of people with Dementia, working 16 hours weekly from Monday to Friday.
We value diverse perspectives and experiences and are striving to create a workplace culture that is inclusive, accepting of all, and free from discrimination and bias.
We have a simple vision and strategy that defines what we are trying to achieve, our purpose, and our approach, which underpin the principles of Adult Social Care. We continue to work in support of this.
Our strategy is: ‘Providing support, in the least intrusive manner possible, based on the assets, resources, and abilities available to people’.
In line with our One Coventry Values, we want to ensure our communities are represented across our workforce. A vital part of this is ensuring we are a truly inclusive organization that encourages diversity, including diversity of thinking. We particularly welcome applicants from minority ethnic, LGBT+, disabled, and neurodiverse communities to make a real difference to our residents, ensuring equity and respect remain central to our work.
Coventry Dementia Partnership Hub (formerly Maymorn Day Centre) is recruiting for a Permanent Food Service Assistant. You will join a dedicated team supporting people to live well with Dementia. The Hub offers traditional day services, drop-in sessions, outreach, and features a dementia-friendly café/social space to enhance social connections for people with dementia.
Your role includes providing a welcoming environment, supporting the café with light refreshments, maintaining high food hygiene standards, and supporting the Day Centre on Thursdays and Fridays to meet nutritional needs. The working hours are 11:30-14:30, Monday to Friday, totaling 16 hours per week, with flexibility based on service needs.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality support and care for people with Dementia, ensuring meaningful visits.
