Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Assistant to support catering across Ridgewood High School and The Ridge Primary School in Stourbridge. You will start at Ridgewood High School before travelling to The Ridge Primary School to assist the catering service there.

The role is part-time, term-time only (38 weeks), with a 15-hour week schedule (11:00–14:00, Monday to Friday). A driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for travel between sites.

• Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential.
• Full training provided.

Food Service Assistant

Location:The Ridge Primary School, Gregory Rd, Stourbridge DY8 3NF & Ridgewood High School, Park Rd W, Wollaston, Stourbridge DY8 3NQ - a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as you will be required to travel between the two school sites.
Pay:£12.71 per hour
Hours:15 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 11:00am-2:00pm
Contract:Term Time Only - 38 weeks, Permanent, Part Time

You’ll be part of a friendly catering team, helping to deliver high-quality food and service to pupils and staff across both schools. This is a varied role where you’ll work across both school environments and support the teams where needed.

About the Role

As a Food Service Assistant, you’ll support the day-to-day running of a busy food service operation.From preparing and serving food to keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, you’ll help ensure everything runs smoothly.

You’ll work as part of a supportive team delivering great service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Additional Information

Term Time Only - Equated Pay
This role works 38 weeks per year. Your salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments across 12 months, meaning you receive consistent pay throughout the year, including during school closure periods.
