Job summary

Aramark UK is seeking a part-time Food Service Assistant in Plymouth to support a welcoming customer experience across up to five sites. You will operate tills, prepare beverages, maintain cleanliness, and help with opening/closing duties while following food safety standards.

The role offers flexibility, training, and potential for growth, with uniform provided, on-site parking, and benefits through our staff app. Driving is required for site mobility.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced food service or retail setting.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Willing to work across multiple sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the till and take payments with accuracy.
• Follow food safety and hygiene rules at all times.
• Restock cups, milk, pastries, and coffee beans.
• Support the team during busy periods for smooth service.
• Assist with opening/closing duties including cleaning and stock checks.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including espresso.
• Provide friendly, efficient service to customers.

Hours:24 hours per week, Monday-Friday, Variable hours between 0700-1400

Whatyou’lldo:

• Operate the till, handle payments, and manage customer transactions efficiently.
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Restock supplies such as cups, milk, pastries, and coffee beans.
• Support the team during busy periods, ensuring smooth workflow and quick service.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stock checks, and equipment shutdown.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages to a high standard, including espresso based drinks.
• Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers warmly and taking orders accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of the coffee bar, seating area, and equipment throughout the shift.

Must be able to drive and have vehicle as will be required to work 5 sites under the Princess Yachts Contract – Lee Mill, Langage, Coypool, Newport Street and SouthYard
