Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Food Service Assistant at HMRC Liverpool India Building to support high-quality food service and create a positive guest experience.

You will provide customer service, assist with meal prep, maintain hygiene, restock supplies, take orders and handle payments within a busy, team-focused environment.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 32.5 hours per week, at the Liverpool site; benefits include wellbeing support and Employee Assistance Programme.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that food and beverages are served to a high standard.
• Assist in the preparation and assembly of meals, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in the food service areas, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and restocking supplies.
• Help with the safe storage of food items and adhere to the rotation of stock.
• Take customer orders, process payments, and support any special dietary requirements.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down food service stations, ensuring an efficient service operation.
• Follow all health and safety regulations in line with Sodexo's policies.
