Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Food Service Assistant in Speke, Liverpool. This part-time role offers 8 hours per week, mainly Saturdays and Sundays, at £13.45 per hour.

You’ll join a catering team delivering friendly, efficient service and high-quality meals, with paid training and opportunities for career development. As a Food Service Assistant you’ll help the canteen and kitchen operations, serve customers, manage till operations, support stock and deliveries, and maintain high standards of cleanliness

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or food service is a bonus, but training is provided.
• Positive and friendly approach to customer service.
• Able to work well as part of a team and stay organized in a busy setting.
• Detail-oriented and committed to cleanliness and food safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food to a high standard.
• Provide excellent customer service and operate the till.
• Assist with stock management and deliveries.
• Support vending and hospitality services and set up/close service areas.
• Complete cleaning duties and assist the Chef with kitchen tasks.

We are looking for a Food Service Assistant (FSA) to join our catering team at Speke, Liverpool.

As a Food Service Assistant, you will support the day-to-day running of the canteen, hot plate and kitchen, helping to provide a friendly, efficient and high-quality service to customers.

What you'll do:

• Prepare and serve food to a high standard.
• Provide excellent customer service and operate the till.
• Assist with stock management and deliveries.
• Support vending and hospitality services.
• Set up and close down service areas.
• Complete cleaning duties to a high standard.
• Assist the Chef with food preparation and kitchen duties.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures.
• Complete all required training within the specified timescales.

What you'll bring:

• Experience in hospitality or food service is a bonus, but we'll give you full training!
• Have a positive and friendly approach to customer service.
• Can work well as part of a team.
• Is reliable, organised and willing to learn.
• Can work effectively in a busy catering environment.
• Has good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Is willing to follow procedures and complete required training.
• Previous catering or food service experience is desirable but not essential.
