Job summary

Aramark is recruiting a Food Service Assistant (Equated) for Wyke Sixth Form College in Hull. You will help prepare and serve meals, assist with tills, and maintain clean, safe dining areas during term time. The role offers 20 hours per week, 10:00am–2:00pm, Monday to Friday, with equated annual pay and generous benefits.

You will work in a busy education catering environment, supporting students and staff while upholding high standards of food safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous catering, hospitality, retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and service.
• Serving students, staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Operating tills and handling customer transactions.
• Replenishing counters and service areas.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout kitchen and dining areas.
• Following food safety, allergen and health & safety procedures.
• Supporting the catering team with the smooth day-to-day running of the service.

We are currently recruiting for a Food Service Assistant (Equated) to join our team at Wyke Sixth Form College, Hull, HU5 4NT. This is a fantastic opportunity for a friendly and enthusiastic individual to become part of a busy education catering environment, helping to provide excellent food and customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

Successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check including the Barred List prior to commencing employment
