Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Assistant at Orchid Vale Primary School in Swindon. This part-time role is term-time only (38 weeks) with a pay of £12.71 per hour and 12.5 hours each week, working Monday to Friday 11:15am–13:15pm.

You’ll help prepare and serve meals, keep kitchens and dining areas clean, and support deliveries and stock. Full training provided; the team aims to deliver friendly, hygienic service in a welcoming school environment.

Qualifications

• Requires no formal catering qualifications; full training provided.
• Experience in fast-paced environments is advantageous.
• Reliable and flexible with a good work ethic.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Food Service Assistant, you’ll support the day-to-day running of a busy food service operation. From preparing and serving food to keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, you’ll help ensure everything runs smoothly.

You’ll work as part of a supportive team delivering great service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages
