Join our Cook family in our Technical Team as Food Safety Technologist

Monday – Friday, flexible working hours from 7.00am to 8.00pm (core hours 7.45am to 4pm) with flexibility.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Implement and continuously improve the standards by which the Company operates in all kitchen areas.
2. Assist in maintaining the Food Safety Management, Health & Safety, and HACCP systems, working closely with Technical, Operational, and Maintenance teams.
3. Maintain up-to-date documents and control record keeping.
4. Support management of process information, recipes, and product standards to validate all processes and procedures.
5. Investigate non-conformances, support troubleshooting, and identify root causes.
6. Assist in scheduling and organizing pest control, laundry, and calibration functions.
7. Conduct internal safety, hygiene, and GMP audits; schedule product, environmental, allergen, and microbiological testing.
8. Investigate internal, supplier, and customer complaints; implement corrective and preventative actions.
9. Periodically analyze audit, testing, GMP results, and monitor KPIs to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
10. Review internal toolbox talks, risk assessments, and operational practices.
11. Assist regularly at food safety huddles, meetings, and train team members on systems and procedures.

What you will need to succeed:

• At least two years of experience working within the food manufacturing sector.
• Ideally, knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems.
• Preferable qualification in Food Technology or similar (training will be provided).
• Excellent computer and communication skills.
