Job summary

Greencore Crosby is seeking aQuality Assurance Auditor to verify that raw material prep, production and product storage meet food safety and quality standards. You will conduct audits, verify calibration, maintain documentation and drive corrective actions as needed.

You will train operations teams on technical standards, ensure safe working conditions and escalate non-conformances promptly. A strong QA background and HACCP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent with numeracy and literacy skills.
• Holds Health & Safety level 2 and Food Hygiene level 2.
• CCP training including HACCP principles for Manufacturing Unit.
• Experience and understanding of internal audit processes.
• Understanding of allergen awareness and related risks.
• Knowledge of GMP techniques.
• Understanding non-conformance reporting techniques.
• Microbiological awareness and basic food safety knowledge.
• Knowledge of basic disinfection principles, labeling practices and weight legislation.

Responsibilities

• Sample, test, audit and monitor to verify safe and compliant manufacturing and storage.
• Verify equipment calibration to meet required standards.
• Complete documentation for audits and highlight corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Communicate QA activities, results and trends to operations and other functions.
• Collect samples adhering to procedures to ensure safety and legality of products.
• Provide education and training to operational teams on technical standards.
• Maintain safe working environment and meet Health, Safety and Environment policy.
• Escalate non-conformances promptly to the appropriate manager.
• Follow daily schedule of work.
