Job summary

Hunter Selection represents a leading food producer in South Wales recruiting a Food Safety Manager for the Llanelli site. You will develop the company's technical function, continually improving food safety, raw materials and finished product quality, reporting to the general manager.

You will lead audits and drive a Quality culture, overseeing HACCP, product labelling and compliance across manufacturing, transport and retail operations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety management.
• Experience leading internal and external audits in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to develop and improve food safety systems and drive quality culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve food safety management systems to ensure compliance.
• Lead HACCP team and maintain effective controls for safety risks.
• Monitor GMP, traceability and food safety programmes across operations.
• Plan and coordinate internal GMP audits and maintain audit readiness.
• Lead external audits and address non-conformances within timelines.
• Act as food safety and compliance expert, monitor labelling accuracy and stakeholder relations.
