Job summary

Zest in London is recruiting a Technical Assistant to join the Quality and Technical team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will perform GMP, HACCP and QA activities, support sampling and testing, investigate customer complaints, and help verify CCPs while liaising with production to uphold quality standards.

The role offers a flexible Monday–Saturday rota and a salary up to £36,000 with a potential bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA, QC or Technical role in food manufacturing.
• Good understanding of GMP, HACCP and Food Safety requirements.
• Experience working within a Quality Management System.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Confidence working closely with production and operational teams.
• Food-related qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out GMP, fabrication and internal audits.
• Support microbiological sampling, swabbing and quality testing.
• Assist with customer complaint investigations and corrective actions.
• Complete CCP verification and validation activities.
• Review production paperwork and report non-conformances.
• Conduct traceability exercises, temperature audits and quality checks.
• Support supplier quality activities and raw material assessment.
• Coach and support operational teams on quality standards and best practice.
