Job summary

Carnbrooke Meats in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, is hiring a Quality Assistant to join a growing family business operating from our primary facility.

You will monitor checks in the on-site factory and kitchen, complete paperwork, enforce GMP/HACCP, investigate non-compliances, and support audits to maintain food safety and quality. This full-time role requires a Food Safety qualification and a proactive, team-based mindset.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Food Safety
• Knowledge of HACCP and other quality management systems
• Previous experience in Quality Assurance, compliance or a similar role

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and carrying out checks throughout the on-site factory and kitchen, including CCPs and temperature
• Accurately completing and monitoring of all required paperwork
• Verify and check all production sheets
• Enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices and hygiene rules in the factory/kitchen environments
• Investigate non-compliances and customer complaints, recording them appropriately and resolving issues identified
• Manage relevant quality standards, e.g. HACCP to ensure food safety, statutory & Company standards are maintained
• Actively seek to reduce complaints throughout the company
• Assess intake of goods to ensure they meet company specifications before moving into production
• Assist in preparations of customer visits, third party and internal audits
