Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a QA Technologist for a food production site. The role runs a 6am–2pm shift, with a starting salary up to £30,000. You will ensure products meet quality, safety and legal standards and support the Technical and Production teams on the factory floor.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant Food Science qualification and have basic Food Hygiene certification, with experience in the food industry. Excellent training and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Relevant Food Science qualification or degree is required.
• Experience in the food industry or similar role is desirable.
• Basic Food Hygiene qualification.
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products comply with customer standards for quality, safety and legality.
• Collate product samples for routine microbiological testing and retain samples.
• Assist in site visits and audits; support Technical and Production teams.
• Maintain a technical presence on the factory floor and provide production support.
• Set and improve standards on the factory floor with production teams through coaching.
• Ensure the factory floor is audit ready year-round.
• Attend daily management meetings.
• Ensure CCP audits and training are carried out as scheduled.
• Support in collating taste panel samples and EOL taste panels.
• Carry out post hygiene audits and GMP audits; close non-conformances.
• Carry out daily bag audits to remove potential foreign bodies and raise issues.
